Ensuring stock integrity
Problems with stock integrity arise through software bugs, poor procedures, human error and stock shrinkage. Loss of confidence in the accuracy of stock data leads to expensive over-stocking in order to ensure that stock levels are adequately met.
The solution is to review the procedures in place to minimise shrinkage and to review the training needs of staff. It is also possible to build validation routines into the software to reduce the opportunity for human error.
The objective is to simplify inventory procedures as much as possible,
thereby increasing the number of stock takes and improving the accuracy
of replenishment processes.
